Hello there! Welcome to my website.

Currently, I am a Software Engineer at Snap Inc. on the Privacy-by-Design team, where I build privacy auditing and validation systems to detect and prevent privacy violations in large-scale products and machine learning workflows. My work spans privacy reviews, incident response, data classification, and privacy-preserving analysis for ranking and recommendation systems, with a particular focus on ensuring that user data and user preferences are respected in production systems. I completed my PhD from University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC). I was fortunate to be advised by Prof. Owen Arden and Prof. Ioannis Demertzis. My research work lied in the intersection of security in distributed systems, language-based security, and applied cryptography. I also got the chance to work on Encrypted search, Compiler Design, Program Analysis, Blockchain Technologies, and Formal Verification techniques in Coq. I worked closely with the people from Language, Systems, and Data Lab (LSD), and Security Research Lab (SRL). At UCSC, I am a member of Women in Cyber Security and Women in Science and Engineering, advocating for diversity and excellence in science and technology. Before joining UCSC, I worked as a software engineer for the Networking & Cloud team at Citrix R&D, Bangalore, for two years. Prior to that, I acquired a master's degree from the esteemed IISc, Bangalore, where I worked with Prof. Aditya Kanade in the Software Engineering and Analysis Lab, developing an automated bug detection tool for Android applications. I am also a proud alumna of IIEST, Shibpur, where I did my undergraduate studies; during this time, I had the opportunity to work as a summer intern at Nomura Research Institute, Kolkata.

Through my work, I strive to make Distributed Systems fault-tolerant, secure, and efficient. Feel free to connect with me as I explore the world of Distributed Systems.
